A NUD Brain may control up to 8 NUD Peripherals - each containing its own dedicated microcontroller - allowing the Brain to offload complex processing tasks such as digital signal processing or protocol parsing. A variety of pre-configured modules, as well as individual input, output, communications, interface, and indicator options are available through NUDs architecture.
NUDs may be added to distributed networks. While a NUD can be configured to act like an off-the-shelf device such as a CAN Node, the NUD's integrated high-speed communication bus and event triggering allow customizable reactions to inputs which may drive outputs directly. This responsive design allows bypassing the network altogether, giving you control at the edge of your network.
